Ewan McGregorEwan McGregor is a popular Scottish actor. He is known for his roles in the Trainspotting, the Star Wars prequel trilogy and Moulin Rouge. Born on March 31, 1971 in Crieff, Scotland, McGregor has earned the respect and adoration of both critics and audiences. His break into film came with two collaborations with director Danny Boyle - Shallow Grave and Trainspotting. In 1995 he married Eve Mavrakis, the two now have three daughters. He has made his mark in small, independent films and has also appeared in major blockbusters like the Star Wars films and Moulin Rouge. Ewan and friend Charley Boorman took a motorcycle trip around the world in 2004, documented in the book and TV series Long Way Round. In 2005, he played the role of Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls in London. For his performance in Guys and Dolls, he was nominated for the Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical.
Jude LawDavid Jude Law is known to film audiences as Jude Law. In 1997 he made an impression with his roles in Gattaca and Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. His big break came in 1999 with his role in Anthony Minghella's adaptation of The Talented Mr. Ripley. For his part as Dickie Greenleaf, Jude received his first Oscar nomination. In 1997, he married actress Sadie Frost and the two had three children before their divorce in 2003. He has appeared in many films, working with directors such as Steve Spielberg (A.I. Artificial Intelligence) and Sam Mendes (Road to Perdition). He worked with Minghella once again on Cold Mountain, for which he received his second Oscar nomination. He has appeared on stage many times. Early in his career he appeared in Indiscretions, both on the West End and Broadway, opposite Kathleen Turner. He received a Tony nomination for his performance. He also appeared in Dr. Faustus at the Old Vic. He was engaged to actress Sienna Miller, but the relationship ended n 2006.
Ewan and JudeEwan McGregor and Jude Law met at the beginning of their careers. They were both at an audition and hit it off. Later, they were roommates. The two formed a production company called Natural Nylon along with Sadie Frost, Sean Pertwee and Jonny Lee Miller. The Nylon in the name is for New York and London. The company produced the film Nora, which starred McGregor. The Natural Nylon Theatre Company was also formed, however the company came to an end before it could achieve any success. Jude and Ewan have been friends for well over a decade, though they have never worked together professionally.
